Smith College Undergraduate Philosophy Journal
In search of interdisciplinary thought and engagement for human flourishing.
Smith's faculty of philosophy professors encourage open-minded questioning, contemplation, and pursuit of ideas among the students in their classes and in the overall department through close faculty-student engagement, rigorous programs, and insightful events. Eudaimonia at Smith College seeks to encourage human flourishing among undergraduate students by opening them to the pursuit of wisdom that is strongly encouraged by Smith's liberal arts curriculum. Moreover, since today's various disciplines of study originated from the study of "philosophy," Smith's Philosophy Department seeks to bring together the different disciplines, in their own right, into unique synergies within collegiate academia. Not only do we hope to inspire intersectional conversations, but we also hope to align with Smith's sustainability initiative "Green Smith" by keeping this journal a solely virtual, "paper-less" source.
Any interdisciplinary piece that merges one or more different academic fields with philosophy is accepted for review. Authors of papers that fulfill this requirement will work directly with Eudaimonia's editorial board in back-and-forth exchanges so that their papers can be included in the final publication.
